Toshihiro Kaneshige 

Born in Mie, Toshihiro Kaneshige began playing the piano at the age of six with his parents.

He studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts with Prof. Kenji Watanabe and Prof. Ewa Pobłocka.

He completed his Master Degree and Artist Diploma in 2016 at the University of Music and Theatre »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« Leipzig, where he studied with Prof.Gerald Fauth as a scholarship student of Okada-Culture Foundation, International Rotary Foundation, Elfrun Gabriel Foundation and the Saxon Scholarship.

He also took the private lessons and the master classes of Makoto Ueno, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Menahem Pressler, Jörg Demus, Lev Naumov and others.

Toshihiro has made recital, chamber music, and concerto appearances throughout Europe, Asia, the U.S. including major concert halls such as Gewandhaus Leipzig, Coliseu Porto, Vigadó in Budapest and others.

He has been invited to perform at the international music festivals and concert series including the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival (Germany), Bach Week Houston(USA), Budapest Spring Festival(Hungary), Bologna Festival (Italy), Zyklus Internationale Meisterpianisten (Germany) and others.

In 2016 Toshihiro won the first prize at the Coimbra World Piano Competition.

From 2018 until 2020 Toshihiro Kaneshige had taught at the University of Music and Theatre »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« Leipzig and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra “Mendelssohn Orchestra Academy”

Since 2020 Toshihiro Kaneshige has taught at the Tokyo University of the Arts(Tokyo Geidai).

Toshihiro Kaneshige 

Toshihiro Kaneshige wurde 1988 in Mie (Japan) geboren und erhielt seine erste musikalische Ausbildung im Elternhaus.

2004 begann er sein Musikstudium an der Universität der Künste Tokio (Tokio-Gedai) bei den Professoren Kenji Watanabe und Ewa Pobłocka.

2012 kam er als Stipendiat der „Okada – Bunka“ Stiftung, der Rotary Stiftung und des Sächsische Landesstipendium zum Studium an die Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ nach Leipzig. 2013/14 erspielte er das Jahrsstipendium der Elfrun Gabriel Stiftung, das mit zahlreichen Konzerten verbunden ist.

2018 schloss er sein Studium in der Meisterklasse von Prof. Gerald Fauth mit dem Konzertexamen und ausgezeichneten Noten ab. Weitere künstlerische Anregungen erhielt er im Privatunterricht und Meisterkursen u.a. von Makoto Ueno, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Jörg Demus und Lev Naumov.

Im Jahr 2014 besuchte er den Meisterkurs des legendären Pianisten Menahem Pressler und spielte auf Presslers Empfehlung das 3. Klavierkonzert Beethovens in Rostock. Im Jahre 2016 spielte er das 3. Klavierkonzert von Bartók im Gewandhaus zu Leipzig und im Coliseu in Porto. Kaneshige konzertiert regelmäßig als Solist und mit Orchestern in Europa, den USA und Asien.

Er spielte bei zahlreichen internationalen Musikfestivals und Konzertreihen wie z. B den Festspielen Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, dem Bologna Festival, Budapest Spring Music Festival. Als Solist war er in Porto, Houston, St. Moritz, Wien, Leipzig, Weimar, Tokyo, u.a. zu hören.

2016 erspielte er sich den 1. Preis des Coimbra World Piano Competition. Der Preis war verknüpft mit einem Orchesterkonzert und einem Soloabend in Portugal in der Konzertsaison 2016. Inzwischen konzertiert er jedes Jahr sowohl solistisch als auch mit Orchester in Japan.

Von 2018 bis 2020 unterrichtete Toshihiro Kaneshige an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« Leipzig und an der Mendelssohn-Akademie des Gewandhauses zu Leipzig.
Seit April 2020 unterrichtet  er an der Universität der Künste Tokio (Tokio-Geidai).

Il se perfectionne également auprès de grands maîtres : Makoto Ueno, Elisabeth Leonskaja, de Menahem Pressler, Jörg Demus et Lev Naumov.

En 2016, Toshihiro remporte le premier prix au Concours mondial de piano Coimbra.

La carrière internationale de Toshihiro Kaneshige s'est poursuivie avec des concerts à travers l'Europe, l'Asie et les États-Unis, y compris les grandes salles de concert telles que Gewandhaus Leipzig, Coliseu Porto et Vigadó à Budapest. Il est invité aux festivals internationaux tels que le Festival de Mecklembourg-Poméranie-Occidentale (Allemagne), la Bach Week Houston (États-Unis), le Festival de printemps de Budapest (Hongrie), le Festival de Bologne (Italie) et le Zyklus Internationale Meisterpianisten (Allemagne).

Il a enseigné de 2018 à 2020 à l'Université de musique et de théâtre »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« Leipzig et à l'Orchestre Gewandhaus de Leipzig «Mendelssohn Orchestra Academy».

Depuis 2020, il enseigne à l'Université des Arts de Tokyo (Tokyo Geidai).
